María Rivas Herencia (Córdoba, 1991)

Architect, graduated from the ETSA at the University of Seville and the ETSAV at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 2016. Thanks to her academic record, she was awarded the Séneca (2012–2013), Santander (2016) and Elmer (2017) scholarships. She was also awarded a scholarship to collaborate with the Protected Housing Service of the Regional Ministry of Development, Territorial Planning and Housing of the Regional Government of Andalusia (2020–2021). Since 2015, she has developed her professional career in the field of architecture through collaborations with various professionals in Lisbon, Berlin and Seville. Her understanding of the city and culture as complex entities has brought her closer to art and the development of multidisciplinary projects. Among others, together with the artist Eugenio Rivas, she has developed projects such as 15 Minutes from Los Asperones and An Emergency Garden. In 2023, she redirected her work towards landscape architecture, a field in which she currently works as an independent professional and in collaboration with Antón Landschaft (Zurich).
